I began my career teaching dance and movement in inner city SEN schools in London. Following a brief stint in Edinburgh, again teaching pupils with additional needs, I settled in Reading as a class teacher, supporting students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). As of 2018, I have held the role of Assistant Head Teacher in a SEN school, responsible for curriculum development, teaching, learning and assessment for children and young people with complex needs, autism and PMLD.
I hold a Master’s degree in severe, profound and multiple disabilities, gained from The University of Birmingham. My area of study is concerned primarily with quality of life for children with complex needs.
